The Monk's Oliver

The Monk's Oliver

The results are in: International Fleece Show in Sydney Australia March 17-20 2008
Judges: Jill McCloud & Cameron Holt
The Monks Oliver- 2nd Place in White Fleece Class
(Second to the Class Reserve Champion in a class of 66)

Oliver has been named White Color Champion 5 times in 2007. He has also taken 2 Championships in Fleece Shows as well as Best Of Show, Judge's Choice, Best Hand, and Best Crimp.

Oliver has a very tight consistent crimp from skin to tip. According to Ian Watt, Oliver has SRS (Soft Rolling Skin), not a common trait in alpacas. The term "soft rolling skin" refers to skin that is demonstrably thinner and more mobile than in many other animals. This creates great density, exceptional fineness, high amplitude, high frequency matchstick bundling fiber along with the associated inherited brightness. A truly exceptional male.

Oliver is spending the winter at North East Alpacas. Before you make your breeding decisions, make an appointment to check him out. You will be glad you did!
